Kiel Figgins has released an awesome Deadpool rig! Here's an animation I did with it. Fun character! Find out more here: 3dfiggins.com/Store
Very sad to see her go. Thank you for being an inspiration, Carrie Fisher.
Added a statue to my collection...really love the energy in this pose.
Great adaptation of Siegfried by Alex Alice...beautiful artwork.
Was a part of Digital Domain's awesome Previs team for this film...fun project!
Here's to the animation maestro, Hayao Miyazaki. If you haven't yet, make sure to check out Castle in the Sky, The Cat Returns, Lupin the Third: The Castle of Cagliostro, Princess Mononoke, etc...lol Study everything about these films, from character delineations and nuances to the way each story is masterfully told. If your goal is to become a great animator, Miyazaki's films should be a prerequisite, and something you look back on from time to time for inspiration.
This post is a "thank you" to Miyazaki and the amazing artists of Studio Ghibli for the effort and passion put in to make every work brilliantly entertaining.
Probably one of the best orchestrated works I've ever heard! Whenever I hear it, I think of an adventure within a Bierstadt painting, like the one above x)
Thought of an idea for a story and sketched this. I know it's a little rough, but the main focus here was to communicate liberation and power through the pose.
A few of my favorite statues...glad DC released this Black and White series x)
Music resonates through all lifeforms...through all movement. The more we are in-tune with life's melody, the greater we will become as animators.
So thankful to have a career in animation.
Sketched this some time ago...had an idea for Catwoman, and couldn't stop thinking about it since this drawing :)
There's something I really enjoy about a black and white image...as Marcos Mateu-Mestre would say, it gets to the core of our visual perception :) Make sure to pick up a copy of Framed Ink if you haven't already! Great book, if you're interested in visual story-telling!
Lastly, sketched this while listening to Philip Glass. Love this score...
Hello, guest(s)! This was inspired by one of my sketches...just wanted to play around with the idea of the pose coming to life x)
The music used is an excerpt from Prokofiev's On the River Dnieper: The Engagement. Beautiful piece.
...aannndd here's the the sketch:
